1936 Popeye \Clean Shaven Man\
I take pictures of things I find interesting.
It could be the subject matter, the color, the lighting…but it’s always because I’m inspired in some way to capture THAT MOMENT.
THAT MOMENT extends into other areas of my art whether consciously or not….it has to, for what I see in THAT MOMENT moves my art forward.
This will be a fun show at CUAS’s new space, so come out and show your support for the “Annual Works On Card Board Exhibition” put together by the Bird House Museum.
The show is for 2 nights only and I’ll be there on Saturday, November 26th around 8pm.
Look for my piece titled “don’t cry over split oil…”.
Hope to see you there!
I found this on Damen Ave. in Wicker Park. The context and content is interesting on so many levels.

Art in progress for the Bird Museum's annual works on cardboard upcoming exhibition at CUAS on 11/26-27.
Frida taking on nap on my art.
I’m inspired by what I photograph, and what I paint inspires my photography.
This was taken in the Formal Garden in Humboldt Park. I love how the foreground and background become fused together….life mimics art, art mimics life.
Last weekend, myself and Chicago artist Naomi Martinez (monstrochika), set up for some live art making in the Flat Iron building in Wicker Park for the fall Coyote Festival. We did a fun collaboration of one of her characters and some of my alley cats. Sometimes, girls just wanna have fun….
P.S….also pictured are the cd’s cases I created.
